Leanne Damas, Yoga Instructor & Thai Massage Practitioner
Leanne has been teaching yoga classes to adults and children in Manotick, Greely, Riverside South and Kars since 2001. Her certifications include Yanumoja yoga, Radiant Child children’s yoga, and prenatal yoga. Leanne’s yoga classes are an eclectic mix of stimulating, regenerative yoga for body and soul. Each class incorporates a central theme based in yoga philosophy, and uses posture, breath, relaxation and meditation to create space for reflection and rejuvenation.
In 2007, Leanne trained in Thai yoga massage, a one-on-one form of therapy that derives from Thailand , with influences from Indian Ayurveda, yoga practices, and Chinese healing arts. Sometimes described as having yoga “done to you”, this gentle, flowing bodywork uses passive yoga postures and acupressure to promote flexibility, relaxation and healing.
Leanne continues to deepen in both of these areas of study, as they support her journey, and enable her to offer healing and wellness to others.
